SOME RULES ABOUT SUCCESS I JUST MADE UP1. Don’t float too high. Humility, faux or otherwise, is great protection. 2. Keep some sandbags stabilizing the balloon. Don’t lose your bearings, leave your spouse or lover precipitously, fire your accountant, spend your financial underpinnings, or dump early allies. 3. Let yourself get off the ground. A contradiction to number 2, but grace is made of this. Don’t be scared and you can soar. 4. Be wary. Look around you for potential ego collisions and avoid them. They will exhaust you through proliferation. (The friend of your enemy is now your enemy). This falls under the voluminous “life is too short” category. Fights distract, they distort one’s perception of the field, they poison everything they come in contact with, and eat up crucial time and energy. Worse yet, they earn no income. Transcend. Next! |
